Class Notes: Topic: Optical Imaging: Methods and Applications,,Description: My intention is to discuss the physical principles, computational frameworks, and modern implementations of optical imaging systems across scientific and engineering domains. The course integrates fundamentals of wave optics, image formation, and coherence theory with advanced topics such as digital holography, quantitative phase imaging, optical coherence tomography, and super-resolution methods. Through lectures and project-based learning, students will gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills for designing, modeling, and applying optical imaging systems in biomedical, industrial, and material characterization contexts.
