Class Notes: Only College of Management Students who have completed AF 301 and earned 60 credits should enroll. Students who do not meet these requirements will be dropped from the course before the start of the semester.,,The primary goal of the course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of machine learning and how they can be applied to financial problems using Python. Students will learn the basics of Python programming, as well as the essential tools and techniques for data analysis and visualization. Students will learn how to use Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn to build predictive models, visualize data, and evaluate performance. Students will learn how to leverage web scraping and textual analysis techniques to extract and analyze financial data from online sources. Upon completion of the course, students will have the necessary knowledge to apply machine learning techniques to real-world financial problems. ,,This course will satisfy a Finance Concentration Elective requirement (it will NOT count in the Accounting Concentration).
