Description:
This course focuses on leadership development for entry-level professional nursing practice. Interprofessional communication, conflict resolution, delegation, and change processes are explored. Students utilize concepts that highlight building cultures of quality and safety and teamwork in complex health care systems. Students are responsible for evaluating access to care, screening and patient self-management principles as well as exploring integrative therapies. Concepts covered include leadership and management, quality improvement, managing care, health illness, and wellness and population health.
