Description:
This course is designed for the Art Major concentrating in studio art and is focused on developing a body of work to a level appropriate for inclusion in a class group exhibition. As part of the course, and for the exhibition, students will develop an artist statement that clearly states their intentions and situates their work within contemporary art practice along with a strong series of artworks for their portfolio. Students will also gain professional development skills and garner an informed idea of many professions in the arts through lectures and presentations.
