Description:
This course serves as an introduction to the work of writing centers and to writing center and composition pedagogies and theories. By reading and discussing writing center and writing studies scholarship, students will learn to engage in flexible practices to successfully work with writers from various backgrounds and identities. This course asks students to conduct writing center research, to compose written projects, and to make connections to teaching English courses. Students in this course may have the option of working directly with writers in the Writing Center.
