Intercultural Perspectives in World Languages

Description:
This course addresses ways of conceptualizing culture and fostering multiculturalism in language classrooms and beyond. Students explore how culture is embedded in language use and reflect on their own cultural perspectives. They critically analyze how culture has been traditionally addressed in language classrooms and textbooks. They also explore a variety of approaches to guide language learners in a variety of settings in their own development of intercultural awareness.
