Description
This course will provide an overview of deafblindness as a unique disability, encompassing learners with a wide range of visual and hearing impairments. Topics will include the range of sensory and learning differences among deafblind learners, the importance of building trusting relationships, touch as a critical component of learning, and the need for collaborative educational teams, and consideration of the array of psychosocial, cultural, and family perspectives.
