Description
The basic principles of heredity, studied through an integrated presentation of molecular and classical (Mendelian) genetics. Topics include the nature of the hereditary material, structure of chromosomes, and patterns of inheritance.
Prerequisites
Students who have taken BIOL 254 may not enroll in BIOL 252 Open to Biology and Biochem majors ONLY until 5/17/26. Other majors may register starting on 5/18/26. BIOL 112 and CHEM 103 or 115 and 117 Co-req (or pre-req) = Math 130 or higher or placement into MATH 140 from the math placement exam
