Description:
This course examines theories, research, and practice related to communication before, during, and after crises. Students examine the fundamentals of crisis management and strategic crisis communication. The course emphasizes practical application of theories, strategies, and tactics of communicating to multiple stakeholders in crisis situations. The goal is to help students develop the skills to strategically plan, implement, and evaluate crisis communication efforts across various organizations and crisis scenarios. Additionally, they will enhance their ability to critically analyze crisis communication in real-world contexts.
Pre Requisites: Pre-requisite = COMM 100 and one 200-level Communication course
