Research Methods in Higher Education: Quantitative Analysis

Description:
This core course is part of the Higher Education Doctoral Program's research methods sequence. It introduces students to quantitative evidence and research methods, with a focus on applied statistics, particularly multiple regression. Course activities and assignments are grounded in the analysis of real-world educational and other social science datasets. Through the analysis of various datasets, students will become acquainted with basic descriptive statistics, tabular and graphical methods for displaying data, and the basics of statistical inference. In order to build and practice quantitative research skills, computer-based statistical analyses are an integral part of the course.
